Day 01
There was a story here that I wanted to tell you. But I've forgotten it again.
Ah, well.
I'd like to start a new one.
Will we finish it this time?
---A bell chimes and everyone finds themselves waking up from a trance near an entrance of a village.
The entrance is a large wooden gate that seems to close off the village from the large wooded area behind you. The woods themselves are thick, almost impossible to see beyond a few feet, and it looks quite dark in there. Perhaps the most unsettling thing about those woods is that there is no sound coming from there. No tree rustling, no animals, no wind.
The village itself is fairly small and empty. It seems no one is living here at the moment, but from the looks of it, it's been recently abandoned. There are plenty signs of life from an open fire that is still going to toys just lying along the ground. However, from the looks of it, no one is here.
Inside this village you'll find:
•
Ten stone houses made of stone and thatch. The houses have a small fireplace to cook, utensils, and a kitchen table. There are plenty of basic blankets and pillows, and also a couple of beds in each house. There's windows, closets, a basic toilet, and some basic lamps that can be lit up for lighting. They're not fancy, but they're at least cozy.
For the most part, each house is identical. However, each individual house
has some unique things that the others do not have.
•
A forge. It contains metals, coals, the tuyere, the hearth, the bellows. A standard fireplace can also be found including all of the tools needed from an anvil to tongs. It's very warm in here. One wall is covered in rust.
•
A small building meant specifically for cooking.Sinks, cooking utensils of all kind, a decent amount of food that might last everyone a week. Several windows.
•
A public bath. It's basically an indoor bath which contains three separate rooms with their own bath for people to use. There are no specific dividers besides the wooden doors, but each entrance to the bath has a lock. The water is cold.
•
Scattered toys along the ground. Some are worn, but some are also new. They seem to be simple things. Handmade dolls, spinning tops, marbles, or colorful balls.
•
Something of a library. Well, it feels like it would be a library with all of the books in there lined up amongst a bunch of shelves. However, they're all hand-written and well-worn. If you skim through the books, it's definitely not a language you can read.
•
Farmland. There are farm tools scattered about, basic handtools anyhow.
•
Cows and chickens. They seem pretty chill, just walkin' about in their own designated areas. Chicken coops, stables, that sort of thing.
But you'll also find each other. So what next?
OOC Note:
There will be a point where I'll let you guys run around and make your own posts soon! I'll post some stuff up on the OOC comm with updates asap! I'll also try to get some basic info pages going within the next couple of days.
Also you are wearing your regular clothes and you can have things with you like pocket knives, small books, maybe a small bird pet etc. Be reasonable but it's basically whatever was on you at the time.
Actually as a clarification of above ^, as long as you are not bringing a tank or a horse, it will probably be fine. If a person was carrying you, and the item can be carried with you, it's cool. If its like a silly accessory that's a little larger like a butterfly net or smth, that's probably fine too.
